Medieval Lunch

After walking down these stairs

We found ourselves at this Medieval restaurant

We had heard that this was a place we had to eat, so we walked in to get some lunch.  Nobody met us at the door, so we thought that maybe it was a seat-yourself type place.  We saw some stairs going down, so we figured that was the way to go.  As we went down the stairs, we found ourselves in what appeared to be a labyrinth of stairs, going up and down with little tables with enough to seat two or four people as we went down.

It seemed pretty full as we couldn't find an open table until we got to the end of the labyrinth and we were seated at a table.  Right after we sat down they brought both of us a bowl of soup.  We looked at each other as we said "we didn't order any soup."  So, we got up and walked up to a waiter to say that we were brought soup when we didn't order any.  They then informed us that they were serving a group of eighty that had filled the whole restaurant and that we should come back in an hour.

Almost two hours later we came back, and we were seated in the upstairs portion (I think the group was still eating).

Not quite the small table in the labyrinth, but it will do.

After a sneak peak of what the soup looked like, we decided to order some, which was delivered in pots.
(I think they were out of bowls due to the size of the group eating in the labyrinth.)

 Our medieval pork rib lunch

Our pork ribs at the end of our lunch.
(We're not the biggest fans of fat or cartilage, but the meal was worth the tour of the labyrinth.)
