Train from Prague

Once we caught the train back to Prague from Kutná Hora, we had a little bit of time before catching our train back to Freiberg.  We decided to get some food with the few Czech crowns (Czech currency) that we had left.  I was keeping a tally of the cost of everything we were getting, and then we came to a container of fruit.  It was in a bin full of all sorts of things and the bin had all sorts of prices on it.  Not knowing how much it was, we threw it our basket.  When we came to the cashier, we found out that we were three crowns short (~$0.18).  We told her in English that we didn't have any more crowns and she gave us an angry look then waved us on.  We got the message and left.

Sarah waiting to see which platform we would be leaving from.

Our train was delayed a little bit but despite that, we were able to make it back to Freiberg.  I bet you can't guess what happened once we crossed the German border.  Nope, we didn't have to pay our last dollars to change our ticket (we didn't have any dollars with us to begin with).  Yep, we got checked by the German police, just wanting to make sure everyone had proper identification.  After talking to friends who served in Germany, we learned that this is something foreign to them, so we're not sure why it happened every time we went into Germany.

We arrived safely back in Freiberg that night.
