As we were driving with Feri and his family, we passed a field full of sunflowers. Sarah commented how beautiful it was and I told her that there are fields like that all over Hungary during this time of the year. It's incredible to ride a train and look out the window and as far as you can see are sunflowers. Sarah said we should get a picture of one of the fields before we came home, so I mentioned that to Feri and just turned off the road right there and pulled up right next to a field for us. So we hopped out and took some pictures.
My little sunflower
Of course, the one flower in front of us doesn't bloom.
(Didn't it know this was probably its only chance for a close up?)
Not quite ripe and full of seeds, but its time will come.
Sarah in front of the haystack by where we pulled off the road.
(Sure gives perspective to the saying "finding a needle in a haystack.")
