Soaked in Prague

I'm sorry there isn't a picture to go with this one, so you'll only get this story in words.

After visiting Petrin Hill, we decided to go visit the Prague Castle, despite the fact that it was getting late.  So, we hopped on a tram and rode it a couple stops before getting off.  It was then that we realized we had gotten on the wrong tram.  We rode it back, then waited for a little bit for the right tram to come.  It was sprinkling, but nothing two newlyweds couldn't handle.

We got onto the right tram and rode it the two stops to the castle stop, then got off.  In that short amount of time the rain had really picked up.  We decided that we should probably just catch the tram going back and call it a night.  About as soon as we decided that, the tram going the other direction passed us.

We ran out into the downpour and found the stop going the other direction which was a couple hundred feet away.  We stood there as the rain continued to fall.  Despite the fact that we hadn't been in the rain very long, we were soaked.  After waiting for about fifteen minutes, I decided to brave the rain again to look at see how often the trams were supposed to come.  Every ten minutes.

Maybe the police car going by with the siren going followed a few minutes later by an ambulance with the same should have been an indication that something was wrong, but we continued waited.  We were soon joined by a young couple and then later two women.  They all waited about fifteen more minutes with us and then they started leaving the stop.

Not knowing how to get to the metro station from there and knowing that we still had a way to go before we got to our hotel to check in, I knew I needed to speak up.  Apprehensive from my experience of speaking English with the Czech lady at the mechanic on the way to the temple, I hoped that at least one of them would speak English.  Lucky for us, one of them did, and we made it safely to the metro station, granted we were definitely soaked in Prague.
